The study planner

How accounts and the OSN study planner work: choosing a stage, rating your topics, confirming with quizzes and following the plan.

The study planner is optional. Everything else on the site works without an account.

Accounts

You can sign up with an email address and password, and with Google when the deployment has Google sign-in configured. The Account page shows your name, email, sign-in methods and role. There are two roles:

  • Inchoatus: you are signed in but do not have edit access.
  • Primus Inter Pares: you are signed in and have edit access to the site's content tools.

You sign out from the Account page.

How planning works

The planner is built for revising the OSN syllabus. It assumes you already know a lot of it and tries to spend your time where it helps most. It works in three steps:

  1. Settings. Choose your subject, the OSN stage you are targeting (regency/city, province or national), your exam year and how many hours a week you can study. All stages use the same syllabus and differ in difficulty.
  2. Self-ratings. Rate each syllabus topic from 1 to 5. A topic you leave unrated counts as "no opinion".
  3. Plan. The planner combines your settings, ratings and quiz answers into a schedule.

What the plan contains

Confirmation quizzes come first, because a self-rating is a weak signal and the planner asks you to confirm what you say you know. After the quizzes the plan holds study sessions ranked by how much you are likely to gain per hour, spaced reviews timed backwards from your exam date, and a buffer before the exam with a final mixed pass.

The page shows today's tasks, anything overdue, what is up next and the coming weeks. If your weekly hours cannot fit everything, the plan says so and shows the shortfall.

You tick off study and review sessions by hand. A quiz completes its own confirmation item automatically.

Things to know

  • Regenerating a plan keeps the items you have already completed.
  • "Today" means your calendar day (Asia/Jakarta by default), not the server's.
  • Some inputs are placeholders that have not been calibrated on real students yet. These include the target mastery levels and any 2027 exam dates, which are projected from 2026. Treat the plan as a reasoned guide and not a guarantee.
  • Informatics and astronomy have few quiz questions so far, so many of their topics cannot be confirmed by quiz yet.
